How LogClaw is offered: Managed vs self-hosted
LogClaw is available in two ways. Which one you use determines who processes your data and where it lives.
Self-hosted (Open Source)
You run LogClaw on your own infrastructure (your servers, your cloud, your VPC). We do not host, store, or process your logs or any other data. Your data never leaves your environment. This privacy policy does not apply to data you process yourself when using the self-hosted product—you are the data controller for that data.
We strongly recommend self-hosting for air-gapped networks, highly regulated industries (healthcare, defense, finance), and any environment where data must not leave your perimeter. Self-hosted LogClaw runs entirely offline with zero external dependencies.
Managed (Enterprise)
We deploy and operate LogClaw inside your cloud (e.g. your AWS / Azure / GCP account or VPC). We manage the software and operations; your log data and application data remain in your environment under your control. We do not copy or store your logs on our own systems. Any data we access is limited to what’s necessary to operate and support the service, as set out in your Enterprise agreement.
This website and marketing
For visitors to logclaw.ai and related marketing (e.g. demos, waitlist, contact):
- Information we collect: Usage data (e.g. pages visited, referrer), device/browser info, and any information you give us (e.g. email, name, company when you book a demo or sign up for the waitlist).
- Why we use it: To run and improve the site, communicate with you, and provide demos and support.
- Sharing: We may use service providers (e.g. hosting, analytics, scheduling) that process data on our behalf under strict agreements. We do not sell your personal information.
- Retention: We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law.
Data location and international transfers
LogClaw's website, managed control plane, and support infrastructure are hosted in the United States. When you interact with our website, book a demo, or contact us, any personal information you provide may be processed and stored in the United States.
For managed (Enterprise) deployments, your log and application data remain in your own cloud environment in the region you choose. Our operational access to your environment originates from the United States unless otherwise agreed in your Enterprise agreement.
For self-hosted deployments, no data is transferred to us. Your data stays wherever you deploy it—on-premise, in your own cloud, or in an air-gapped network. This is the recommended option for organizations that require full data sovereignty or operate under strict data residency regulations.
If you are located outside the United States and provide personal information to us (e.g. via the website), you consent to the transfer and processing of your data in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. We take reasonable measures to protect your information in accordance with this policy.
Cookies and similar technologies
We may use cookies and similar technologies on the website for essential functionality, analytics, and preferences. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal data, or to object to processing. Contact us at [email protected] to exercise these rights or with any privacy questions.
For self-hosted deployments, you control your data and are responsible for fulfilling data subject requests for that data. For managed deployments, your Enterprise agreement and our support process govern how we assist with such requests.
Children's privacy
LogClaw is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us at [email protected] and we will promptly delete it.
Data breach notification
In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities as required by applicable law (including GDPR and U.S. state breach notification laws) without undue delay. For managed (Enterprise) customers, breach notification procedures are defined in your Enterprise agreement.
GDPR and CCPA
EEA/UK users (GDPR): Where we process your personal data, we do so based on legitimate interest (to operate and improve our website and services), consent (when you sign up or contact us), or contractual necessity. You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, and object to processing of your data. To exercise these rights, contact [email protected].
California residents (CCPA): We do not sell your personal information. You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request its deletion, and not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. To make a request, contact [email protected].
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and, for material changes, we will indicate the date of the last update. Continued use of the website or our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy where applicable.
